Peridot is one of the few gemstones that comes from deep inside the Earth, and it’s been bright green ever since. This bracelet is for fresh starts.
The Science: Peridot is the gem form of olivine, a magnesium-iron silicate. It’s a 6.5 to 7 on the Mohs scale.
Made Deep Down: Peridot forms deep in Earth’s mantle and is carried up to the surface by volcanoes. It has also been found in meteorites. Arizona, Pakistan, China and Egypt are well-known sources.
Traditionally associated with growth, positivity and renewal. Peridot is the August birthstone.
