Rhodonite gets its name from the Greek word for rose, and the black veins running through it keep it from ever looking too sweet. This bracelet is for soft and edgy at once.

The Science: Rhodonite is a manganese silicate (MnSiO₃). The black veins are manganese oxide. It’s a 5.5 to 6.5 on the Mohs scale.

Born from Manganese: Rhodonite forms in manganese-rich metamorphic and hydrothermal deposits. Russia, Australia and Brazil are well-known sources.
