The Science: Rose quartz is a variety of quartz (SiO₂). Its soft pink is usually attributed to microscopic mineral fibers or trace elements within the stone. It’s hard and durable, made for everyday wear.
Born in Granite: Rose quartz forms in pegmatites, coarse-grained granite rock that cools slowly deep underground. Brazil, Madagascar and South Dakota are well-known sources.
